Every person who has already filed DIR-3 KYC is now only required to complete his/her KYC through a simple web-based verification service, with pre-filled data based on the records in the registry, for ease of verification by the person concerned and he can also update his mobile no. or e-mail address. In case of updation in any other personal details other than, e-form DIR-6 is required to be filed before completion of KYC through web-based service.

SEBI has replaced the format specified in the SEBI circular dated September 24, 2015 with the circular dated July 16, 2019 on ‘Format for Compliance Report on Corporate Governance to be submitted to Stock Exchange(s) by Listed Entities.

MCA via its notification dated July 25, 2019, amends the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014 w.r.t KYC of every individual who holds DIN as on 31^st March of a financial year. As per these rules:
1.  E-form DIR-3 KYC is to be filed in the following cases:
A.  If an individual who holds DIN, filing his/her KYC details for the first time;
B.  If already filed KYC once, but DIN holder wants to update*email ID & mobile no.provided with MCA.
2. Web service DIR-3-KYC-WEB is to be filed where DIN holder only verifies the details already filed in earlier KYC and no update is required.
The last date for filing e-form DIR-3-KYC or web-form DIR-3 KYC-WEB for a financial year is September 30, 2019. After the due date, MCA will levy a penalty of Rs. 5,000
*For updating other details (e.g. Address), the director needs to file form DIR-6 first
